Thank you Lynette and David!  Staying at Mura di Sopra was probably one of the best holidays we have ever taken!  We did not expect such wonderful accommodation – there was more than enough space for the whole family, not only in relation to bedrooms each with their own en suite etc, but the different social areas meant that the teenagers could listen to music in the upstairs lounge, while we could read downstairs.

Our days were spent walking on the path through the woods to Benabbio for the wonderful bread you can buy there, a trip to explore the local villages in the mountains, great shopping in Lucca and then relaxing at the pool to cool off.   We even took a day to go to the Prada Factory Shop near Florence – great experience!

The other great surprise was the kitchen – everything anyone could need to produce the family meals especially in the evening and a dishwasher and washing machine to boot!

But mostly we loved staying in what is such a cared-for home.  We felt so welcome and were able to really relax and put aside all the daily hassles for a really carefree and comfortable holiday.

Thank you – we will recommend Mura di Sopra to anyone travelling to Italy.

Staying here is just magical. Not only are the views and the countryside magnificent but the house itself is a real find. I could happily have stayed drifting between pool and shady terrace, whiling away the days. It is exceptionally well appointed and feels like somebody's much-loved home, not just a holiday-let. In fact to call it a holiday-let is to insult the place. The owners must have put an awful lot of hard work into making it such a wonderful place to stay. Thank you.

What a wonderful time we had in your beautiful house. It was perfectly suited to our painting and writing course, each of us finding a delightful spot in which to work. The artists amongst us were thrilled with both the interiors as well as the exteriors – so many delectable scenes to paint. The utter peace was just what was needed for the creative writing and the abundance of plugs and adapters for our lap-tops was much appreciated. We worked all morning knowing that the reward before lunch would be a swim in the pool with the view of the mountains. The only problem was deciding between cooking dinner in the well-equipped kitchen or going out to one of the excellent local restaurants.
